MPA Scotland is an affiliate of the wider Mineral Products Association (visit MPA website here) and represents 14 members across SME, major and global companies producing sand and gravel, crushed rock (aggregates), asphalt, cement, concrete, lime, agricultural lime, industrial sands, mortar, and recycled products. Collectively, these businesses employ over 3,000 people across Scotland.
We represent the interests of our members and the wider industry with Scottish Government, regulators and a range of other stakeholders including local authorities, professional trade bodies, conservation organisations, educational institutions, engineering and architectural practices and other key audiences.

Nationally
Nationally, we are the largest supplier to the construction industry, which had annual output valued at £178 billion in 2021.
Industry production represents the largest flow of materials in the UK economy and is also one of the largest manufacturing sectors.

- Economic conditions that support investments
- Better Government support for an essential industry
- A reasonable license to operate
- Proportionate legislation and regulation
- Recognition of progress
